This bike is pretty much awesome. I didn't think I would ever spend more than 600-700 on a bike until I tried downhill and trail riding on various terrain. I'm a heavier rider and wanted a strong bike. The 4130 steel frame has a springy feel compared to my aluminum bike and the Fox 34 front does not sag. I weigh 260ish and this bike is perfect. I'm about 5'-10" and went with the medium frame which for me is just right having long arms but some people at 5-10 may want the large frame - it's a toss up. The 27.5" tire gives you tons of torque for the corners and uphill battle. I had never rolled through a rock garden before but even with the solid rear it handles better than I thought. The only thing it needs for downhill is a dropper seat post. All in all the bike is very stout with solid components and at about 28lbs light enough for most uses. I've only got about 50-60 miles on it but don't see my view changing. The big brakes get the job done when you need to stop it stops! No vibration or awkward feelings up front when rolling over any terrain on or off trail. Very nice stuff. The supplied peddles are good too.
